Alif Keyboard Privacy Policy
Overview
This Privacy Policy explains how Alif Keyboard handles information when you use the Android app, keyboard, clipboard manager, optional account, and optional sync features.
Data we may collect or process
- Account information: email address, display name, password authentication data, and account identifiers when you register or sign in.
- Device records: app version, Android version, and generated device records used for account sync, security, and troubleshooting.
- Clipboard content: text you choose to save or sync through the clipboard manager.
- Keyboard suggestions: words, phrases, and selected suggestions may be learned locally. If sync is enabled, personal suggestion data may sync to your account.
- Security and diagnostic logs: limited technical records used for reliability, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, and troubleshooting.
How we use data
- To provide keyboard, clipboard, account, and sync features.
- To authenticate your account and keep your devices connected.
- To improve personal typing suggestions based on your own usage.
- To protect the service, investigate problems, and prevent abuse.
Sharing, ads, and sale of data
Alif Keyboard does not sell personal data and does not show ads. We do not use advertising SDKs. Data may be processed by infrastructure providers only as needed to operate, secure, and support the service.
Your choices
- You can use local keyboard and clipboard features without signing in.
- You can disable clipboard capture, cloud sync, and personal suggestions in settings.
- You can delete local device data by clearing app data or uninstalling the app.
- You can request account and associated cloud data deletion from the Delete Account page.
Account and data deletion
To request deletion, sign in to Alif Keyboard and choose Settings - Account and privacy - Delete Account, or submit a request from https://alifkeyboard.yiwuduha.com/delete-account/. You may also request deletion of specific cloud data, such as synced clipboard items, synced suggestions, or device records, without deleting your account.
Android permissions
Alif Keyboard may ask for permissions that support its core features, such as input method access for the keyboard, internet/network access for optional sync, boot completion for app maintenance tasks, and biometric unlock through the Android system. Alif Keyboard does not receive or store biometric fingerprints or face data.
Retention
Account data and associated cloud sync data are deleted after a verified deletion request is processed. Limited security logs and anti-abuse records may be retained for up to 90 days. Backup copies may remain for up to 30 days before automatic rotation removes them, unless a longer period is required by law, security, fraud prevention, or dispute resolution.
Security
The app is designed to minimize unnecessary collection. Local clipboard data is encrypted on device, and production sync traffic uses HTTPS.
Children
Alif Keyboard is a productivity keyboard and clipboard utility. It is not designed primarily for children.
